Mgr, Operations Finishing & Assembly

Basic Function:
Plan, organize and continually assess operations to ensure unit requirements are fulfilled within an established time schedule.
Ensure fulfillment of all quality, safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) requirements.
Coordinate with support groups to ensure all required corrective actions occur, in order to meet production schedules.
Monitor and analyze line loads.
Evaluate existing and proposed product processes for optimization, and pursue improvement opportunities.
Hire and train associates, conduct performance reviews.
Main Duties:
Coordinate management and operation functions for assigned business unit.
Develop, plan and implement strategic projects that support company strategic direction and provide unit with essential competitive capabilities.
Maintain work efficiencies to comply with current labor standards for direct and indirect labor.
Interact with Receiving and Stores, Maintenance and other departments to develop schedules and ensure unit meets objectives.
Ensure activities within the unit comply with expectations that have been set forth and are consistent with department objectives and policies.
Partner with R&D in the introduction of new products and processes. Identify opportunities to optimize productivity, consistency, quality and material yields.
Investigate and determine root causes and corrective actions for batches out of specifications.
Establish staff and manpower requirements to achieve compliance in meeting scheduled workloads.
Train and develop subordinates for management succession and conduct performance reviews based on performance against established goals using measurable performance indicators.
Responsible for development of new labor standards and adherence to those already established for direct and indirect labor.
Establish and maintain compliance to current G.M.P. and Safety programs.
Review and maintain manufacturing practices to conform with current P.P.S.'s.
Ensure that corporate policy is followed in reference to all personnel or environmental issues.
Identify operational deficiencies to appropriate management and execute corrective action.
Ensure manufacturing equipment is used and is maintained in good working condition.
Responsibility for proper handling and interaction with appropriate management concerning the handling of hazardous raw materials within the manufacturing area, including waste processing.
Assist director in development and achievement of department objectives.
Devise and implement department policies and protocols and monitor compliance.
Report department labor usage by cost center and indirect labor category.
Establish root causes of non-compliant batches and implement effective corrective measures.
Knowledge and Skill Required:
B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related Science or Engineering Degree and seven years manufacturing experience .
Extensive knowledge concerning the manufacturing of Creams & Lotion, Powder, Make-ups, Lipsticks, Mascara, Fragrance and A/P products.
Supervision of department (delegate and organize work responsibilities).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
