escription Leadership of the global procurement categories (Color Cosmetics & Cartons) including providing close functional and strategic direction to a geographically dispersed group of global procurement. The ongoing development, validation, sustainable implementation, and review/update of the category strategy ensuring close alignment with business requirements. By analysis of spend, building should-cost model, detailed understanding of the supply market and internal business requirements, develop and deliver category strategy with the approval from internal stakeholders. Demonstrate compliance with procurement processes regarding e-tendering, Supplier Relationship Management (including performance management) and contract management Builds strong relationships with the stakeholders to ensure an appropriate strategy is developed. Lead multi-functional/multinational sourcing teams and projects to achieve contracts, orders or agreements that are aligned with the category strategy and hence deliver appropriate savings agreed with stakeholders Provide expert external supply market knowledge across the responsible Category Manage risk with vendors as well as achieve operational compliance across all direct Procurement activities Deliver targeted savings ensuring no adverse impact on quality and time requirement Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers including leading significant negotiations Identify and communicate best practices and develop benchmarks that compare internal procurement performance to industry best practice Ownership verification & agreement of actual financial performance of the Sub-Category, including agreement and verification of savings delivery, budget & forecast data Act as an Ambassador of the Procurement organization Directly manage strategic and critical supplier relationships where appropriate Directly manage, or ensure management of, all significant contracts Perform other duties as assigned Provide guidance and strategic direction to one analyst for the day to day maintenance of price, reviewing PPV, budget preparation and continue support to analyze the data. Lead the overall global supplier strategy and develop the preferred suppliers for long term by rationalize the supply base and optimize SKU. Lead the supplier relationship management for creating and driving the value engineering innovations. Preferred & Required Skills: Bachelors' degree in Business, Marketing, Operations/Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent required. MBApreferred. English proficiency. Experience: 10+ yrs professional; Minimum of 7 years procurement experience sourcing, negotiating, and leading procurement projects within various indirect categories such as paper , film and printing categories Proven record of success in negotiations with suppliers 5+ years of progressive subject/industry/field experiencerequired Strong global strategic sourcing and procurement experience within a senior procurement role Previous experience of working within a multi-national, multi-cultural environment Skills: Strong sense of ownership and sense of urgency, driven and motivated Analytical; Proficient in EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT; experience in building should cost model, using Ariba and SAP is preferred Capability in developing sourcing strategies and leading the implementation Full knowledge of internal sourcing/procurement procedures and processes, and knowledge of the external trends and best practices Leadership of complex global projects, strategy development and implementation Ability to develop performance measures for categories Deep knowledge of the relevant supply markets Capability to quickly learn complex functional requirements and supply market dynamics Development of strategic relationships with suppliers Ability to influence peers and geographically dispersed teams Effective communication and presentation competencies Project team leadership (geographically dispersed and cross-functional with proven results) Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better.
