Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist (Granville County) - Temporary Solutions

Hourly Rate of Pay: $7.25 - $20.51 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)
Work Schedule: requires two days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
This part-time temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health & Human Services - DSOHF - Central Regional Hospital. DHHS is currently recruiting for a Sonographer at Central Regional Hospital (CRH).
The primary functions for this position are to provide quality ultrasounds which includes abdominal, renal, pelvic, RUQ, small parts, extremities, thyroid, testicular scanning ordered by credentialed care providers. Provide high quality diagnostic ultrasounds always, and work closely with the radiologist if any questions arise concerning the ultrasound imaging. Make sure all imaging and paperwork is complete before departing the shift.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities and any experience or competencies specified in the supplemental question(s) to be considered.
Knowledge of anatomy including muscular, skeletal, and circulatory systems, and diseases and their effects on the human body.
Thorough knowledge of all facets concerned with the field of Sonography/Ultrasound.
Thorough knowledge of computer applications pertaining to ultrasound and the technical settings that need to be used.
Must be able to gain and maintain the confidence and cooperation of patients which is vital in our role of dealing with the mentally ill.
Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with peers and other hospital staff.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate's degree in Medical Sonography, Cardio/Vascular Sonography, or a closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: American Registry of Medical Diagnostic Sonography board certified. (It is a requirement of the job to have continuing education credits, 30 hours in a 3 year period, to retain their Ultrasound certification after being registered.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
