General Expectations:

Serves as representative of sales and marketing. Consulting, educating and managing all responsibilities for his/her respective accounts in sales adhering to the mission statement of the division and the company.? Continuously improves the knowledge of the market, knowledge of the division?s product, helping solve community?s problems, organizing commitments and deadlines.? Aids in the continuous improvement of product design, net sales, market share, number of communities, sales per community, return on marketing expenses and accounts receivable days outstanding, under the direction of the Plant Sales Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Community Relationships:? Responsible for respective accounts within assigned territory.? Working with communities on sales, marketing, inventory, inventory turns, shipment, product positioning, accounts receivable and parts.? This is a consultative position for developing a high-quality relationship with respective communities. The sales representative is required to continuously train their respective accounts in ongoing product feature benefits and keep community personnel completely informed of the entire product line.? The sales representative may recommend tailoring product and marketing programs to the individual needs of the community.?

Quality Planning, Control and Improvement:? Planning: (in house and on road) Responsible for writing orders that match customer requirements, are clear and precise for production personnel, available to answer community questions, works with communities to maximize sales tools necessary and division inventory, develops credibility and respect of territory accounts. Control: (in house) checks shop plans to insure match of customer order, confirms sales order matches customer request, monitors territory shipments, checks pricing, documents and issues sales change orders, and tracks deadlines required. Improvement: (in house and on road) Travels and researches the market that the respective territory represents striving to develop a clear market analysis, continued growth in current communities and in establishing new accounts, and a well-educated community network leading to customer satisfaction. All sales representatives are expected to achieve 95% levels of customer satisfaction as measured by independent survey.

Sales Productivity:? Organizes all sales responsibilities in territory to maximize clarity, efficiency, and productivity within the constraints of the approved product offering while meeting established community and territory sales goals. This will include meeting promised customer deadlines, flooring requirements, run releases, product change requests/orders, manufacturing floor information in accuracy and completeness, shipping schedules, accounts receivable and prospecting of territory. Has knowledge and educates community partners on finance programs that affect inventory and consumer finance to maximize sales opportunities.?

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

  1. Ability to travel 50% of the time including overnight stays
  2. Computer literate with general knowledge of information technology and its application to sales and marketing
  3. Must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with company personnel, distributors, retail customers and state and local authorities and other third-party personnel

Education and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor?s degree required
  2. Previous successful sales background

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
