We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The Registered Nurse (performing in the Charge Nurse role) will supervise the tasks and duties of other Professional Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Healthcare Technicians/Youth Program Assistants (Certified Nursing Assistant). Job responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for completion of shift assignments, medication administration, participation on treatment teams and all other required duties within the scope of the role and licensure.
We are currently recruiting for multiple positions/shifts on the following units:
Community Transition Unit (CTU):
CTU serves patients 18-64 who are transferred from one of the acute admission units for long term treatment aimed at reducing and managing their symptoms while strengthening life skills needed to successfully return to community living.
Forensic Services Unit (FSU):
FSU is a three sectional unit serving the Pretrial, Maximum, Medium and Minimum security needs of court-ordered patients.
Our core belief is that kids do well if they can and if they have the tools they need. To this end, we provide collaborative, child-centered treatment to help them develop the behavioral, social and emotional skills necessary for leading happy, healthy and productive lives.
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. Our shifts are 8 hours shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.; and 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m., including rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled. Pay is competitive and we offer shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends. T

Recruitment Range: $46,203.00 - $71,250.00

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following:
Proficiency in written and verbal forms of English.
Graduation and degree(s) from an accredited school of professional nursing with valid licensure from NC Board of Nursing.
ADA Physical Requirements will be discussed with the applicant during the interview process but include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must successfully pass Employee Health Screening.
Must successfully pass and maintain credentials for CPR and CRH Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Course after hire.
Management prefers experience in a psychiatric, medical and other healthcare setting but will provide training of newly licensed graduates.
NOTE: Multi-State Compact License must be converted to NC Licensure within 90 days of North Carolina residency.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus (effective March 1, 2018):
A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week). An employee who works at least 20 hours but less than 30 hours per week is not eligible for a sign-on bonus. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: (1) the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date); (2) the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency, (3) or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees. This Sign-on Bonus is contingent upon budget and final eligibility determination as of the effective date of hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
