Architect, Systems Administration

Basic Function:

Develop and execute new initiatives to reduce cost, increase reliability, and increase functionality.

Main Responsibilities:

As a member of the Infrastructure team, the Chief Architect ? Engineering, the incumbent will work hand in hand with the Chief Architects ? Data Center, BASIS, and Hana DBA to provide a solid platform with which to run the systems that run our business, and contribute to the cross functional team providing solution design and third tier support to a variety of enterprise solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hana system administration

  • Storage solution design, implementation & administration

  • Linux/Unix system design, implementation & administration

  • VMware design, implementation & administration

  • Design and maintain Revlon?s DR strategies

  • Implement and Maintain standards, policies and procedures defined by the Security group

  • Maintain technology currency

  • Use relevant tools to monitor and maintain the highest possible performance and aid in troubleshooting

  • Train 1st?and 2nd?tier support staff

  • Provide 2nd?and 3rd?tier support

  • Participate in biannual DR testing scenarios

  • Work with the PMO team, customers, and vendors to ?Right Size? IT solutions

  • Cross train other members of the Innovation and Technology team

Minimum Education Required: College Degree and 7 years of experience

  • 5+ years experience with AIX, SuSe and RedHat Linux, VMware environments

  • 3+ years experience administering HANA environments

  • Shell scripting for Linux/Unix

  • Expert knowledge of storage solutions

  • Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems; PowerShell scripting

  • Strong knowledge of VSphere

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Strong interactive skills to work with the user community, system administrators, application developers and vendors.

  • Willingness to work in a small group and cross-train

  • Ability to use proven technologies to enhance the business and allow the business uninhibited growth.

  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.

  • Strong technical documentation skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
