Quality Control Tech 3 (Near Raleigh-Durham Area) 3rd shift

RAW MATERIAL:
1. Organoleptic evaluation, shade evaluation and physical testing, chemical testing of raw materials, in accordance with department procedures and specifications.
2. Sample raw materials in accordance to written specifications.
3. Use, care, calibration of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to Karl Fischer, pH meter and IR.
4. Provide disposition based on test results.
5. Assist in training orientation of lower level and new technicians.
6. Responsible for generating approval/reject tags.
7. Responsible for entering final disposition in computer for raw materials.
8. Interface with Bulk Planning/Manufacturing/Receiving to coordinate the sampling, testing and dispositioning of raw materials.
9. Works independently with little supervision.
10. Follow good laboratory practices, safety, and housekeeping observing areas of non-compliance and initiating corrective action.
MICROBIOLOGY:
1. Microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk product, finished product and purchased products in accordance with department procedures and specifications.
2. Sample finished product in accordance to written specifications.
3. Use and care of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to pH meter and Autoclave.
4. Enters final disposition of finished goods in computer.
5. Assist in training orientation of lower level and new technicians.
6. Responsible for entering microbiology disposition in computer for raw materials, bulk and finished products.
7. Provide backup to Microbiologist in environmental testing capacity.
8. Provide backup to Associate Microbiologist in DI Water testing and preparing media.
9. Works independently with little supervision.
10. Follow good laboratory practices, safety, and housekeeping observing areas of non-compliance and initiating corrective action.
11. Responsible for sorting through the NI Report to release non-micro items daily and distribute a weekly list of missing micro samples.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ BS Degree in Chemistry or related science, and up to 5 years experience.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Excellent math skills.
+ Good effective laboratory technique.
+ Work independently with minimum supervision.
+ Computer literate.
+ Aptitude for color and odor evaluation.
+ Demonstrate competency in two (2) areas of the Product Laboratory and cross-train in other areas in the Quality Department.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
