MINIMUM
Qualifications:Graduate froman accredited school of nursing with current Licensure as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina or compact state. Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing appropriate to the practice setting. Preferably with 2 years of clinical experience in medical/surgical or long tem care.
ACCOUNTABLE TO:Director of Nursing
POSITION ACCOUNTABLE FOR:Overall delivery of resident care and the smooth functioning of the unit as designated by the Director of Nursing. Performs charge duties effectively. Supervises RNs, LPNs, NAs, and other Nursing Service employees. Is responsible to Director of Nursing. Supervises nursing personnel and evaluates outcomes of care to assure that nursing activities have met minimum standards of care. Demonstrates leadership and management skills by exercising sound judgment in decision making. Demonstrates professional judgment and ethical behavior in the performance of responsibilities. Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Demonstrates evidence of knowledge and ability to use proper channels of communication. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Assists with scheduling of employees. Organizes in-services, plans and coordinates orientation of new employees. Attends monthly staff meeting. Is responsible for the completion of the CQI monthly reports, FL2''s, and monthly summaries.
